The institution of waqaf (Islamic endowment) is one of the institutions of Islam that has contributed greatly to Islam’s past success and empowered the Muslim community since the early days of Islamic history. Apart from waqaf for such religious purposes as the endowing of mosques, cemeteries, religious schools and institutions of Islamic education, waqafs, in essence, are also generally philanthropic. They are characterised by charity and welfare including those dedicated to assisting the poor, the destitute, the oppressed and the marginalised.

First and foremost, I would like to welcome all visitors to my blog.
This Blog intends to focus on the core issues relating to the whys, whats, and hows relating to the concept of and the call for a “Business Jihad”.
There is a critical need today, indeed, an unavoidable imperative for Muslims to find a formula and a way out of the extreme challenges facing the ummah. They must strive to succeed in this effort not only in order to find a solution to their own problems and survive, but also to enable them to play a constructive role and to perform their duty as Muslims to provide enlightened leadership in meeting with the extreme challenges facing mankind today.
